After surrendering our life to Christ, He instructs us to go public with our faith through the act of Water Baptism. This act doesn’t save us, but instead serves as a symbol of what happens when we decide to follow Jesus. It symbolizes that we have died with Christ, been buried with Christ, and raised to new life with Christ.
